Here's and old Schwinn Bik I bought back to life... This was once a Yard Ornament, decorating someone's Garden area. (The seat says, "Garden Bike") The bearings were shot, it was painted Rust-oleum Green with White dotes added throughout. Turned out to be a beautiful Bike! Music written by Toy Caldwell, performed by Stealing Thunder..... John Jay, Bass - Gil Houk, Drums, Terry Wills, Guitar - G...

CLOCK RESCUE! 1880 Waterbury, Salem Parlor Clock
That was great !!!!!
Thank you so much..
I inherited this clock from my dad. He bought the kit and assembled the clock in 1978. Unfortunately the suspension spring just broke after running for 46 years which I thought was impressive. I replaced the suspension spring but I can't get the clock to restart. The chimes are working. Either I made a mistake doing the repair, or when the suspension spring broke the middle weight got pulled to high , or the chain came off its sprocket. In any case there is no movement, i.e. no tick-tock. I have tried to feel for the chain sprocket but no luck and the sprocket is not visible. Would welcome any suggestions.
...First, I would make sure the clock is sitting level... Then I would adjust the beat of the clock... Where the Suspension spring attaches, There is king of a clutch that will move the suspension spring to one sid or the other.... it needs to be adjusted... Remover the pendulum and rod, Take the back off and see if you can't get it to "Tick-to" by hand. Adjust the clutch until it runs by itself without help and without the Pendulum attached... if it does, let it run for a good while....
That's an awesome idea, it kind of does what a bridge doctor would do, pulling down that wood
Great video love that clock. My 95 year old Father just gave me one he would like me to restore. It would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know where you acquired the print for the clock dial. Mine is completely destroyed apparently the clock went through a flood back in the early 50s. Thank you for your time 😊
The print isa Canvas Painting sold on Ebay.... I buy the right size to fit the opening and sandwich it in between two pieces of single strength glass.... I place it in the opening, then paint the inside with black paint... It's hard to tell that is not a reverse painted glass...
@@jackoshawthank you very much
Well done Jack
Thank you..

Wow!...great song...wish'd I'd wrote it...well performed amigo...woods
Thanks so much....
Loved this. Love ur energy and funny humour. I have a Waterbury kitchen clock from 1883. keep up the vids they are great!
Thank you so much.... I almost have too many clocks, these day... Is it possible to have too many? 😀
@@jackoshaw sometimes. If you are like that Pinocchio scene where there’s one clock every 1 inch then yeah that might be too many. But your fine
I have this also, where can I see its date of manufacture , on what part of the movement is it ? Thanks in advance.
Should be on the movement. Take the back off the clock and have a look..
My Dad built this Emperor clock 300m from a kit in 1975. I inherited it. Just started it up today.
I built one of these kit clocks around 78. Mine was walnut , put together, stained and finished the cabinet! My first major wood project, turned out great. I was in my early 20s. Mine had the moon dial , it kept perfect time!!! You can still get these clocks from Emperor They are located in Virginia now.
This one keeps great time, after I found out the person that built it, cut the pendulum rod a little too short.... I was able to extend the length on it and that's all it took to be a nice time piece...
@jackoshaw I also built a manel clock which is the same clock as the grandfather clock without the bottom. It was for my daughters 1st birthday, she will be 44 this. Clock is still running perfectly!!!!
Wow👏🏻 great collection sir, thanks for showing us around 👍🏻
Thanks so much... Pretty soon, I will do another video... This one is around three years old.. I have many different clocks now....
I have a custom made clock that I restored not long ago, it also has an Urgos 3/21 movement, it was missing a chime rod so I put in a different rod which is kinda off tune but it’s better than the hammer not hitting a rod
I have posted 3 vids of it on my channel lmao
man that was awesome
Thanks!
Good video
I made this video about three years ago. More than ever, I believe thi is the way to keep your guitar from getting belly bulge... I still and always will store my guitars with pressure on the bridge... It works! I keep my guitars tuned and ready to go...😁😁😁
Nice!
Can we see more of the other dog?
She is the best dog, ever... She's about 9 months old, very gentle...Bernese Mountain Dog, Izzy Bell.🙂
Do you remember when your sister had one of these old Hawaiian Guitars? If there is one thing I've learned, after receiving this guitar, it's how to spell "Hawaiian!" 😃😃😃
Love this man!
Thanks so much!
Sounds Great, Man! Good Work!
Thank you...
Indeed an Urgos UW32 movement. Well made movement
Indicator lights? I didn't realise that a receiver needs to turn left and right 🤭
Hi I got an old Waterbury Dundee mantel clock. I got all the gears of the movement in a Plastic bag. I have cleaned everything look ok . But I keep looking on Internet for a drawing or picture of the gear placement and can.t find anything. It has a French Brocot Escapement (Internal). I would really like to find a picture of the movement together or something on the gear placement . Any advice would be great. Thanks . Another old guy trying to keep busy. LOL
It may be in your best interest to just find another movement, intact and running...It may be possible with a little time and luck to locate one onE Bay... There are also books out there to help you put that movement back together...
Also, right now, there are a few Waterbury Movement being sold on E Bay... Saw one for about 33.00 .... Maybe find one that would fit your Dundee clock... You can also use the movement as a guide to reassemble the movement you have...☺
Nice video Jack. Looks & Sounds really good. This hepled me re-lamp my Pioneer SX-535. Great work.
Thanks... Glad it helped you in some way...
Great job on an old favorite of mine, love the twelve string on it!
Thanks!

I just received a Johnson 610 acoustic electric, used but like new, from a friend. Nice demo. Outstanding song. Thanks for posting.
Thank you!
I got that same exact clock, the painting on the front is crystal palace in london, at the world fair 1851
Saludos usted es tremendo relojero . desde camuy puerto rico
¡Gracias por las amables palabras! Gracias por ver.
I bought this same guitar in the 70’s. I still have the receipt around here somewhere. Two to three hundred dollar range.
Looks like he needs to work out a haircut
Nice Job!! When I restored a couple Schwinn's, I soaked all the chromed parts in a bin full of Wood Bleach (oxalic acid). Then I proceeded to clean them off with plastic bristles and plastic wool scrubbers that don't scratched. The results were brand new chrome parts that are non scratched. Just a tip for you. Keep at it and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tip....
Great looking bike Jack! Thanks for the support.
Thank you!
Thank you my friend. I'll be over shortly to jam!
I think it looks good! How about putting it on clear transfer sheet and putting it to the glass?
I'm sure it would work. I did it this way because of a wide selection of Pictures available....
It's nice to hear that song done so well. Thank you Mr. Shaw. I'm having my coffee now.
Thank you!... Enjoy your Coffee!
Great job Jack. I had a 73 Red Schwinn and my brother had a 73 in Green. They didn't have any gears. We both used them for our paper routes. Those bikes took a beatin!
I used to have a Schwinn bike when I was a kid... Rode all over Gary, Indiana on that thing, back in the day...
So I got excited when I saw this. Jack is gonna play a Runaways song! Whoops
I say Yeah Yeah Yeah!!! 👍😃👍
Probably my favorite Allman Brothers tune. I'm playing along with you Jack...but using a capo on 2 :-)
Glad you tuned in!..
